On 9 December 2021, the project “Strengthening the profession of lawyer in line with European standards”* held its Third Technical Project Committee meeting to discuss the project progress and to endorse the working plan for the remaining period of the project.

Online lecture "e-" Changes Everything: A Concise Introduction into Electronic Evidence” will take place on December 22 at 13.00 (CET). The speaker - Stephen Mason (barrister, UK) is a recognised expert in electronic evidence and electronic signatures, author of books and many articles on the argument. His lecture is the main part of an online meeting organised for interested lawyers within the framework of the project "Strengthening the profession of lawyer in line with European standards".
An online coordination meeting on the development of the regional network of young lawyers’ associations took place on November 26. It is to continue the networking of young lawyers from the countries participating in the project “Strengthening the profession of lawyer in line with European standards” - Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. The initiative now is taking form, and which organisational structure to take - this was one of key questions discussed at the meeting.
The Legal Aid Coordination Center of Ukraine has prepared a second collection of successful cases, which includes examples of free secondary legal aid provided by lawyers and attorneys who work with the free legal aid system in the field of family, labor, land, civil law, etc. You can find it here.
The European Day of Justice is celebrated each year around the 25 October. It aims to bring justice closer to citizens, to inform them on their rights and to to promote the work of the Council of Europe and the European Commission in the field of justice, through simulation of procedures and information sessions.
The amendments to the Law On Advocacy were developed by the Moldovan Union of Lawyers and approved by the government on October 20.
The Georgian Bar Association, with the support of the Council of Europe, held a conference on "The importance of protecting the professional secrecy of lawyers for the judiciary and the challenges in this regard."
On 16 October 2021, the Third Twinning of Lawyers event took place, which was co-organised by the Council of Europe (CoE), the European Association of Lawyers (AEA-EAL), and the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Armenia. Its scientific part was dedicated to the alternative dispute resolution (ADR) as a means to reduce the burden on courts.
