From 21 February 2022, the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan will be joining the Regional project “Strengthening the profession of lawyer in line with European standards” and participating in some activities related to the Bar. This was the initiative by the Bar Association, approved by the majority of the Technical Project Committee (TPC).

Lawyers can be detained without the consent of the Council of the Bar Association of Moldova in case of severe violations, including corruption.
The Executive Committee of the International Section of the New York State Bar Association approved the establishment of the NYSBA Chapter in Ukraine at the premises of the Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA). Ms. Anna Ogrenchuk, UBA President, has been appointed as a Chair of the NYSBA Ukraine Chapter, and Mr. Ivan Gorodyskyу, UBA Board Member, appointed as a Vice-Chair.
On 22 December an online meeting for lawyers was organised by our project with the aim to strengthen co-operation between bar associations and law societies to improve the internal functioning and independence of the bars, in line with Council of Europe standards and recommendations. At the meeting, Stephen Mason delivered the keynote lecture "e-" Changes Everything: A Concise Introduction into Electronic Evidence”. Project partners and interested legal professionals were invited. Participants from eight countries registered for the event, that was also live streamed.
