The New York State Bar Association was established in 1876 with the objective of cultivating the science of jurisprudence, promoting reform in the law, facilitating the administration of justice, and elevating the standards of integrity, honor, professional skill, and courtesy in the legal profession. NYSBA has a number of sections, including the International Section (NYSBA International), which is responsible for, inter alia, representing NYSBA’s interests internationally.
Ukrainian Bar Association is a non-governmental, non-profit organization that unites lawyers from all areas of the legal profession in Ukraine. Since its establishment in 2002, UBA’s goal is to promote adherence to the rule of law in Ukraine and the development of the legal profession. To this end, UBA conducts legal research and analysis, monitors the progress of implementation of various legislative acts and processes in the justice system and beyond, organizes conferences, round tables, and other events aimed at discussion of legislation and practices in a given field, and advocates for sustainable development of the justice sector and for protection of rights of members of the profession.
