Azerbaijani Bar Association will join Project activities

From 21 February 2022, the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan will be joining the Regional project “Strengthening the profession of lawyer in line with European standards” and participating in some activities related to the Bar.  This was the initiative by the Bar Association, approved by the majority of the Technical Project Committee (TPC).

The representatives of the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan will be participating in the development of the concept paper and roadmap on supporting the women lawyers’ associations, the work that started recently. They will be participating in the joint meetings of judges and lawyers on the implementation of CCJE Opinion no. 16 on the relations between judges and lawyers planned to take place in March 2022. Additionally, they will be attending as observers the online presentations and discussions of the analytical review  “Impact of gender-related issues on the profession and on access to justice “, now in preparation.  The representatives of the young lawyers’ associations in Azerbaijan will be invited to attend some of the initiatives for the young lawyers of the regional project.

The Azerbaijani lawyers – members of the Bar Association are welcomed to register and use the website “Regional Cooperation Network of Lawyers” for queries and professional discussion.

The Head of the International Cooperation Department of the Azerbaijani Bar Association Aysha Abdel Gadir said the Association is looking forward to cooperating with the participants of the project.
