Online presentations of cross-country reviews on the internal structure of the bar associations and on procedural safeguards of lawyers and their protection against undue interferences for the bar associations,
On 11 and 16 December 2020 online presentations of two cross-country reviews on a) the internal structure of the bar associations and b) on procedural safeguards of lawyers and their protection against undue interferences for the bar associations, free legail aid institutions, professional unions of lawyers and NGOs of Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine were held.
The reviews developed within the “Strengthening the profession of lawyer in line with European standards”, funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe within the framework of the Partnership for Good Governance (PGG) by international experts Mr Rytis Jokubauskas, Mr Jedrzej Klatka, Mr Jonathan Goldsmith and Mr Asbed Kotchikian. The reviews are providing in depth analysis of the compliance of the existing practices with the European standards on the lawyers’ profession and best practices of the Council of Europe member states.
